Macon County
Comprehensive Transportation Plan Study
This plan was a joint effort between Macon
County, the municipalities of Franklin and
Highlands,
the Southwestern Rural Planning Organization, and
NCDOT. The CTP was adopted by Macon County
September 13, 2011, the Town of Franklin September
5, 2011, and the Town of Highlands September 6,
2011. This plan was then endorsed by the
Southwestern RPO on September 26, 2011, and it was
mutually adopted by NCDOT on November 3,
