The work covered by this section consists of furnishing and installing precast concrete or granite monuments to mark the boundaries of the right of way in accordance with the requirements of the plans and the provisions of these specifications.
The right of way markers shall meet the requirements of Article 10541.
The Contractor may, at his option, use either granite or concrete right of way markers.
The right of way markers shall be set as the first part of the Contractor's work, except where construction may interfere with the markers.
The markers shall be installed vertically in the ground to the depth shown on the plans or as directed by the Engineer and at the locations shown on the plans or designated by the Engineer. Backfill material shall be thoroughly tamped.
The quantity of right of way markers to be paid for will be the actual number of right of way markers which have been furnished, installed, and accepted.
The quantity of right of way markers, measured as provided in Article 8064, will be paid for at the contract unit price each for "Right of Way Markers", which price and payment will be full compensation for all work covered by this section including but not limited to furnishing all right of way markers, excavating, and backfilling.
