The work covered by this section consists of furnishing, installing, maintaining, and removing guardrail or barrier delineators in accordance with the plans and specifications.
All materials shall meet the requirements of Division 10 shown below:
Guardrail and Barrier Delineators Article 1088-2
The Contractor may use any of the several alternate delineator types for guardrail or barrier delineators shown in the plans, but only one delineator type for guardrail or barrier delineators shall be used at any one time throughout the project.
The delineators shall consist of a reflector and base or casing and shall be attached to the guardrail or barrier as shown in the plans. Only one attachment position shall be permitted throughout the project length on guardrail or barrier.
All delineators shall be positioned perpendicular to the centerline of the road. Yellow delineators shall be used in median and on the left side of one-way ramps, loops, or other one-way facilities. Crystal delineators shall be used on the right side of divided highways, ramps, loops, and all other one-way or two-way facilities. In all cases, the color of delineators shall supplement the color of the adjacent edgelines.
All maintenance for temporary delineators shall meet the requirements of Article 11054.
The quantity of permanent guardrail or barrier delineators to be paid for will be the actual number of delineators which have been satisfactorily installed and accepted by the Engineer.
The quantity of temporary guardrail or barrier delineators to be paid for will be the actual number of temporary delineators which have been satisfactorily installed, maintained, removed and accepted by the Engineer.
The quantity of guardrail delineators measured as provided in Article 12615, will be paid for at the contract unit price each for "Guardrail Delineators, (Permanent/Temporary, Color)."
The quantity of barrier delineators measured as provided in Article 12615, will be paid for at the contract unit price each for "Barrier Delineators, (Permanent/Temporary, Color)."
Such price and payment will be full compensation for all work covered by this section.
