Yes, there are a few bugs in Geopak98 D&C manager. Some have already been fixed for Geopak2000 and they are working on fixing the others (that we know about). Here is what you need to know.
Define Unit Parameter
While computing quantities, you might see a window pop up that looks like this:

Simply type in the number to the far right of the unit and press OK. For this example, you will type 9.173. A second box will then appear asking if that is correct, press OK.
You might see this box for:
Be careful when entering these numbers. A file, ***unk.aux, is created that stores the values that you enter. If you enter a wrong number, you’ll need to delete the above mentioned file, and start your calculations again. Double check your values before you press OK on the first box. The second warning box shows the value it should be, not the value you entered.
This is corrected for Geopak2000!
Min/Max Stations not recognized
You will not notice this until you start to run your calculation sheets in CompBook, but it is a problem with D&C not CompBook. D&C will not return Min/Max stations for simple shapes (Type 6 shapes placed with the Place shape tool in MicroStation). However, it does return these values for Complex Shapes. You have two options:

Shapes in Computing with Fence (Clip Mode)
When computing quantities with a Fence in Clip mode, D&C will not compute quantities for categories with shapes that cross your fence lines. Unfortuantely, the only fix for this at this time is to break these shapes at your fence line shapes. Why don’t we use another Fence Mode? Well, computing by overlap and inside has their own problems with doubling quantities or missing some quantities altogether. Also, computing by view and listing all your chains at once also returns double quantities.
Geopak has been alerted to this problem and should be working on it soon.
Cell Library Attachment
D&C manager is supposed to find the correct cell library and attach it for you. But, as you’ve probably seen, sometimes it doesn’t. This means you need to attach the correct cell library yourself to place payitems that are represented by cells. This is actually a MicroStation bug, not GEOPAK, but you will probably notice it more using the D&C manager.
Driveway Deduction
If your driveways are not deducting from your 2'6" Curb and Gutter you probably have old driveway cells. The old cells have the origin on the lower left-hand corner of the cell. The new cells have the origin on the curb line. GEOPAK uses the cell origin and a deduction tolerance to determine if it needs to deduct the drives or not. This isn't really a bug, just an adjustment we had to make. Are there others?
Geopak is working on a few other things that are more project-specific problems. That means they only occur under certain circumstances and we’ll leave that discussion for one-on-one consultation.
