Question:
We have some elements (chains, profiles, spirals, etc.) to transfer from one GPK file to another and I was wondering is there a macro available just to make the job a little quicker?

Answer:
We were given a utility years back from CADD Services to merge GPK files. The problem with that tool was all the files have to reside in one folder for it to work properly. For example, the DSN and both GPK files have to be in the Proj folder. I have modified this program to work with our standard folder structure.

The new toolbox is available in V8i only. It is located in the RD_VBA tool family.

Both GPK files must reside in the folder defined in the Job (GPK) Directory field.

After launching the application, select the desired chains, profiles, points, etcetera from the source GPK to be merged into the target GPK.

The application will make a backup copy of the target GPK file and then merge the selected COGO items into the newly merged GPK.
