Roadway Design Question and Answer Forum

Criteria

Question:
For English Projects, ditch elevations are being labeled to three decimal places by the Criteria. Is there a reason for the three decimal places, because it seems like it should be two decimals for English Projects?

Answer:
To be consistent with Roadway plans, labels for distance, elevation, and station should carry two decimal places for English Projects and three decimal places for Metric Projects. Through Criteria, the following cross section labels have been modified accordingly, depending if the Project is English or Metric.
  • Cross Section Ditch Elevation Label (Roadway Ditch)
  • Cross Section Special Ditch Elevation Label (Roadway Ditch or Hydraulic Design)
  • Cross Section Slope Stake Point Elevation Label
F-25A English Project Cross Section Elevation Labels
