Question:
I am creating xpl files from my cross sections. The Cross Section Sheet Composition tool keeps setting the labels for the sheet number, project number, station labels, and elevation lables to the wrong levels....even when I close the tool and file and start over (which should reset all the settings). I've deleted resource files, restarted my computer, and updated my workspace and nothing has correced the problem. What could be the cause?

Answer:
As stated in the Roadway Plan Preparation Manual, page 3-34, "XPL's are created while in the XPL file". If an attempt to create cross section sheets was made from the XSC, the actual cross section file, a common occurrence of lost levels can result. Process all cross section sheets (Microstation models) in the XPL not the XSC.
