The Materials and Tests Unit, Structural Members, (Metals) has developed and is offering a one day Field Welding Inspection Class for Construction Personnel. The class is structured for Resident, Assistant Resident, and Project Inspectors who oversee field welding of H-Pile, Pipe Pile, Soldier Pile, Stay in Place Form Plates and Tie Back Walls etc. We focus on the use of proper electrodes, storage, preheat, mechanical burning and basic visual inspection of welds.
