Roadway Experience Form
 

QMS Roadway Technician :  (CON-535)  An in-depth 1-1/2 day review course for the purpose of insuring that roadway technicians have adequately been trained in inspection techniques related to hauling, laydown, and compaction of asphalt pavements in accordance with the Department's current OJT Program.  Also includes an in-depth review of the Superpave Specifications, QMS density specification and the asphalt rideability specification. Technician must satisfactorily complete a minimum of 20 days OJT prior to attending this class.  All classroom instruction with a written exam.  4 year certification upon satisfactory completion.  Attendance of class and passing the exam satisfies the training requirement for progression to the Department's TT III classification. Satisfactory completion of this course and the exam also suffices for recertification of roadway technicians whose current certification has either recently expired or will soon expire. $100 fee. (8 PDHs)
