The Class tab has been updated with a new "GoTo" button to provide navigation directly to the Review Class Enrollment window. This will provide users with the ability to view additional information about the class.
The Technician Selection window has been enhanced to allow the searching for technicians based on Expired criteria. For example, it is now possible to search for all technicians who possess certification status = Expiredor search by Division or by Certification Type.
The Class Tab has been updated to display Comments (bottom section of window) added to a Technician record via the Review Class Enrollment window.
The functionality has been changed on this window to require a Comment when a new certification is added (or modified) via the Review Technician Certification window.
The Certification Tab has been enhanced to provide an additional status of Provisional. This new status can be used to temporarily extend a technician's certification until they are able to attend a class to complete the re-certification process. When the Provisional status is selected, the Expiration date is cleared automatically and the Expiration Date must be manually entered.
Modifications have been made to existing certifications (those in Active and Pending status) to ensure that no invalid (blank) certifications exist. Certifications with a blank start date have been corrected with a start date of 01/01/1900. Additionally, all active and pending certifications which previously had a start date of 01/01/1900 have been recalculated (to provide an accurate certification start date) based on the certification end date and the certification months to expire.
The Staff Home and Staff Mailing Address information is no longer available for update on the Address Tab. Any changes to Technician information should be made by an authorized user in the Security window.
The tab pages in this window have been rearranged to be in a more user friendly order.
A History tab has been added that will display the history of each Certification held by the technician
The Expires date can no longer be updated from the Technician window. To expire a Technician, the Staff record must be expired. This eliminates the situation where a Staff member could be expired but remain as an Active Technician.
The Search window now supports searches that include an apostrophe, such as O'Dell.
The Technician Number for newly created Technician records may not have a higher number than Technician records currently in existence. The System has been updated to fill in the numbering gaps between the current Technician records. The filled in numbers will be in sequential order and will continue in that series until the gap has been filled. Therefore, a current Technician record may have a number such as 15431 and a newly created record may end up with a number such as 241.
The field containing DOH Vendor Technician Number information is now more clearly labeled. The label was changed from Number to Technician Number; in both the Technician Window and the Technician Selection window.
When adding Technicians, you will be prompted to choose personnel from the Staff Table. If the Technician being added is not a DOT employee, and does not currently exist in the Staff List, you may add Non-DOT technicians to the staff table using the New button on the Staff Selection window. Only Non-DOT personnel can be added in this manner. All DOT employees must be added to the system by their administrator, as always.
The Social Security Number will be required information When adding Technicians.
