Changes to References > Test Formats
Version 8.2.2 Changes
- Implemented version control with regards to what material specifications are used on new samples by excluding expired specifications on these samples. The rules for the five scenarios are:
- Material exists with active specs: Test format opens with appropriate specs loaded
- Material does not exist, non-MSG specs exist with none expired: Test format opens and non-MSG spec list is presented with all items
- Material does not exist, non-MSG specs exist with some expired: Test format opens and non-MSG spec list is presented with appropriate items
- Material exists with expired specs, non-MSG specs exist: Test format opens and non-MSG spec list is presented with appropriate items
- Material exists with expired specs, non-MSG specs do not exist: Test format opens and user is presented with message that specs have expired and test will not be scored.
Version 8.2 Changes
- Updated the application so that when a sample is created and a test format is used and the application looks up the specs associated with the format / material combination, any specs where the spec expiration date is less than the Sampled Date will be ignored as if they never existed.
Version 8.1.1 Changes
- Made the following changes to the Test Formats window:
- Provided a warning message when user enters the window but does not have update access and/or is not in the spc database group. In production, user gets a db error when attempting to save changes.
- Added general test format info to the upper portion of the window so that the user does not have to flip back to the Template List tab to see format title, expiration date, import data, and last user id.
- Added a Validate Formula option (check box). When a new version of a test format is imported, the application will run a cursory check of the spreadsheet's data layout tab to make sure there are no gaps in user field codes and field references. This will catch most functional errors not usually caught until the format is in use. The results of the formula validation appear on the new "Formula Result" tab.
- When a new version is imported, a Copy Info button appears in the upper right corner of the window. If none of the template's general information is changing from version to version (title, owning lab & Metric/English code), use can click this button and those values will be copied forward from old version to new version so that user does not have to rekey this info.
- Added a new Show Report Info button was added to the upper portion of the window so the user can view the Report Layout from this screen. The Report Layout was not viewable at all from the Test Formats Maintenance window before.
Version 6.1 Changes
- Prevented access to Specifications for expired test formats.
- Modified the window to default Specifications to “optional” (rather than “required”) when importing a new format.
- The window has been modified to eliminate deletion of specifications altogether. Instead, the user may expire specifications. That way, test results for samples processed against the expired specs can still be referenced correctly.
Version 4.5 Changes
Users now have an option of unexpiring an expired format if no active version for that format exists.
On the Cont/Loc tab, the decimal point has been removed from the Station From and Station To fields. Numbers to the right of the decimal can no longer be entered.
Added a column for a Test Format's imported date to the window.
