Changes to all Field Inspection Reports functions
Version 8.2 Changes
- The logic that verifies that the Sum of the Alternate ID Quantities equals the FIR Represented Quantity has been updated to include Rejected Alt IDs. These rejected alt ids were a part of the quantity of material tested and are now counted in the represented quantity.
- Corrected the retrieval of duplicate Material Receipts rows being shown on the Material Receipt Alternate ID Links window that opens when an attempt is made to Unauthorize a Field Inspection Report.
Version 8.0.4 Changes
- On all FIRs that involve Alternate IDs, the system will now default the Alternate ID type value from the Minimum Sampling Guide (MSG) Default Alt ID Type field for the Material’s Material Type. If for any reason the default type cannot be inferred, the user may select the type from the dropdown list of valid values.
- FIRs impacted by this change are:
- Concrete Pipe
- Corrugated Metal Pipe
- Guardrail
- Precast Concrete
- Prestressed Concrete
- Modified the window to ensure the correct version of the MSG settings are being inferred for each FIR.
Version 8.0.1 Changes
- On all Field Inspection Reports, if the technician specified on record does not have the proper certification, the system will change the test category to Informational as it does on Samples.
- Field Inspection Reports have been modified to prevent deletion of an Alternate ID once it has been saved on a FIR. Instead, users should mark the Alternate ID status as Void if it was entered in error.
Version 8.0 Changes
- Modified the windows to prevent Unauthorization of the FIR if any Alt ID on the FIR is marked as In Use.
- The Alt ID Status of In Use is now system controlled based on linking to MRR's and the Alt ID Status will be protected whenever the system marks an Alt ID as "In Use".
- Modified the windows to allow access/update to the data on the Alt ID tab even if the FIR has been Authorized. Changes to any of the data will still be subject to the usual edits the system performs and will only be accepted if all edits pass.
- Added the Alt ID Quantity and Alt ID Available Quantity fields to the Report tab and to the printed report.
Version 7.2 Changes
- Corrected a problem that was preventing creation of a new FIR if a set of filter criteria returned no rows in a retrieve.
Version 6.0 Changes
- The Field Inspection Report windows have been enhanced to prevent further changes once a record has been marked as ‘Complete’. To revise a completed record, the user may change the Report Status to ‘Unauthorized’, which will unprotect the record and make it available for further updates.
- A correction has been made to various reports to ensure that Report headers are displayed accurately on multi-page reports within the window. The Remarks and ‘cc:’ information has also been moved to the footer section of the Reports to ensure that all information is accurately displayed.
- The Filter criteria on the Review Field Inspection Reports window has been expanded to include Test Category.
- The Review Field Inspection Reports window will now default the Report Status to ‘Complete’ and the Section Number to the appropriate Section when the Section Materials Specialist (SMS) opens the window.
- The window was modified to correctly word wrap the History Comment field.
- The Find and Sort functionality has been corrected to no longer display internal field names for Section and Report Status.
- The window was modified to ensure cursor focus and tab navigation is correct on all of the reports, even when errors occur.
Version 5.9 Changes
- A new Report Status of 'Complete' has been added to the list of available report statuses for all Field Inspection Reports. The purpose of this new status is to allow the Inspector to indicate that all of the information pertaining to a report has been completely entered and is available for Authorization by the appropriate personnel. When the 'Complete' status is selected, a notification will be sent to the SMS identified by the Section code (Field Inspection Report X: Complete Status Alert). The Metals Engineer will be notified for all Structural Steel reports (Field Inspection Report X: Structural Steel Complete Status Alert).
- The Inspection Result is no longer required for Field Inspection Reports that have a Report Status of 'In Process'. Once the status is changed to anything else, the Inspection Result will be required.
- The Material Unit of Measure now appears as part of the Material description on Report tab of the Concrete Pipe, Corrugated Metal Pipe, Guardrail, Precast Concrete, and Notice of Rejection Field Inspection Reports.
