The Brand Name pop-up window (which resides on the Producer/Supplier tab) has been modified to more accurately reflect the search criteria contained in the Products module in Vendor. If the Brand Name icon is clicked the Brand Name search window will now display with the additional new filters available: Product ID, Brand Name, Trade Name and Producer Supplier.
The List of Related Samples window has been updated to correctly display the Producer/Supplier name. Previously the P/S number was being displayed.
The Sample Details window has been updated to default the Testing Category to Pretest when the current user is from 'M&T' and the MSG for the current Material has Pretest set to Required. A previous rule was in place that only allowed M&T users to choose the Pretest Testing Category; therefore, no defaults are made for other types of users. If the M&T users changes the default setting of 'Pretest' they will receive a warning message telling them why they shouldn't change it. If the user performs a Save As on one of these records, the system will change the default setting back to 'Pretest' regardless of what the user may have changed it to on the original record.
A correction was made to Sample Details to ensure that when a sample is voided, any existing sample parts are voided.
An Approved Producer Supplier that has been entered when an Other Producer Supplier is required can now be deleted by highlighting the incorrect information and clicking the Delete button.
The following changes have been made when the Sample pertains to a Material that has been set on the Minimum Sampling Guide as Pretested with a Match Code of either No Match, Alt ID Required or Match Alt ID/Match from Sample
Comments for failing Samples are now only required in the Sample Details Disposition fields. They are no longer required in the Sample Details Comment field.
If the Sample Material is selected by using the Contract Line Item, that Line Item defaults on the Line Item tab.
If a concrete sample has a Contract number, only mixes assigned to that Contract will be available for selection.
Added default prefix functionality for Alternate IDs. Alternate IDs are now being created with the following layout: Plant ID-Date Made-ID (CI9-101601-). Inserting an Alt ID will now default this information in the proper format.
Modified the default filter in the Material Selection window to select Material Types by Contract rather than Material Type.
The validity of the JMF number on an existing Sample will be checked whenever the Sample Date is changed. If the JMF number is not valid for the chosen date, the user will be prevented from saving the update.
Changed the field label from Corr. Sample ID to IA Correlat(e) Field ID. This will allow an IA Comparative sample to use the Field ID to search for the correlating sample, as opposed to the HiCAMS-generated Sample ID.
The Material expiration date is checked for all Samples entered that are not related to a Contract.
Modified validation checks for Samples being entered on Pre-HiCAMS contracts so that the following things happen:
No check for material to be in contract
Disposition fields do not open
Quantity accepted does not default for Accepted-Does not meet specs status
Contract material quantities are not updated
RE notification does not show.
Concrete Samples: If a Contract Number is defined on Sample Details General tab, only mixes assigned to that contract will be available for selection. If contract number on the sample is changed, the concrete mix field will be cleared.
Updated the Sample details window to ensure that the Sample material exists on the Contract Bill of Materials when a Contract number is entered. If the material is not available for a Sample, it will need to be inserted on the Review Contract BOM window. This is similar to the way that Review Tickets currently functions.
A new Line Items tab has been added to the sample details window. All samples created with a contract number specified on the General tab will require line item information to be entered on the Line Items tab.
When adding a line item to a sample, only line items containing the material selected for the sample will be available for selection.
On a Save As, the Sampled By field is no longer cleared. The user will be prompted for comments on each Sample if the 'Sampled By' person is non-certified for that material.
The JMF is required if a material type with a Facility Type of Asphalt Plant is selected. The user can enter the JMF directly into the JMF field or click on the JMF icon (the binoculars) which opens the JMF selection window.
On the Cont/Location tab, changed "*" by Other to "+". Added "*" to Location and Station From/Station To fields. On the Tracking tab, added "*" to the Submitted Date and Submitted To fields.
Sample Linking has been removed.
Generic Concrete Mix Designs are no longer available for selection on Sample Details. Concrete is not to be used on a project unless it has a mix design approved and activated by Owen Cordle.
The English - Metric filter for Concrete Mix Design searches has been eliminated. English mixes will be displayed for Metric materials and may be chosen.
The sort order on the Facility/Plant ID field of the Producer/Supplier search window. has been changed to '1, 2, 3, 11, 202..' instead of ' 1, 11, 2, 202, 3..'
It is now possible to filter the list of Material Types by Contract Number. When the Search By filter Contract is selected and a Contract Number entered, the user is then able to select by Material Types and/or Line Item on the Contract. This is similar to the filters available on the Review Material Receipts and Review Tickets Windows. (This was applied to Production before 4.5 Release.)
It is now possible to use Wild Card Searches when selecting an Approved Producer/Supplier from the Producer/Supplier window. (Wild Card Searches start and end with an asterisk(*). Typing *concrete* and retrieving will find all the Approved Producer/Suppliers with Concrete in their name.
On the Cont/Loc tab, the decimal point has been removed from the Station From and Station To fields. Numbers to the right of the decimal can no longer be entered. Also, the field Alignment; has been relabeled Location to be consistent with the Contract Tracking and Test Formats modules.
When creating a new sample for a material which requires a Producer/Supplier and Concrete Mix Design, selecting a Producer will filter to display active Concrete Mix Designs for that Approved Producer/Supplier.
The System will now check to see if the person entered in the Sampled By field has the correct certifications to sample the material. Any sample where a non certified person is selected as Sampled By will require a comment that will be saved in the History under the Override Certification action code.
Fields which are always required are prefixed with an * and fields which are conditionally required are prefixed with a + sign. This mimics the layout of the paper sample card.
