Notifications

Version 8.1.1 Changes

• Fulfilled a user request to display the Notification Alert and the Notification Message on the same window, eliminating the need to tab to read the full message. The grid displaying the notification alerts has been reduced, and the data originally displayed on the Message Tab is now displayed in the lower portion of the window. All original functionality is still available in the redesigned window.

Version 8.0.1 Changes

• Corrected a problem with failing samples notifications. These are now displayed as a red envelope and the navigation goes to the line item tab on the sample.

Version 8.0 Changes

• Corrected the notifications for Failing Materials (e.g., Samples, Densities) to be displayed in red envelopes to provide additional visual hint that action is required.

• KNOWN BUG: Go To navigation has reverted to the General Tab instead of the Line Items tab. This will be corrected in the next release.

Version 7.2.1 Changes

• Failing Sample Notifications have been improved to navigate to the Line Item tab of Review Sample Details rather than the General tab. Note: This navigation change will only happen on new notifications after the 7.2.1 release. Existing notifications for failing samples will still navigate to the Review Samples General tab.

Version 6.1(H)/3.8(V) Changes

• Corrected a problem where notification messages appeared blank after a block of messages were deleted.

• REVIEW CLASS ENROLLMENT: Notifications are now sent to the RE, ARE, RE Office Clerk and Division DCE when a student is enrolled in a class. Previously, only the student and the person who enrolled the student received the notification.

Version 6.0.1 Changes

• Corrected functioning of the Go To button.

  • In Staff Relink, there is no destination to go to, and the button was disabled.

  • For Independent Assurance Correlations and Claim Intents, the Go To button is now linked to the correct window.

Version 6.0(H)/3.7(V) Changess

• Notifications for the HiCAMS and Vendor applications must be viewed within the application from which they originated. To view all HiCAMS notifications, it is necessary to log on to HiCAMS and access notifications by either clicking the toolbar icon of a mail slot or via Tools>Notifications. Likewise, to view all Vendor notifications, the same process can be followed after logging on to the Vendor application. The Notification Checker icon, which appears as a mail slot in the lower right-hand corner of the PC screen, shows the combined number of notifications for both applications.

• The notification process for Technician Enrollment has been enhanced so that each person who registered one or more students will receive a notification when that student is enrolled. If this list of enrolled students is larger than what the message can handle, the message will state they should review the enrollment window.

• The window has been modified so that when it is opened, the focus is on the Send button. This allows the return/enter key to execute the send in addition to clicking on the send button.

• The Send Notifications window was enhanced to prevent closure without sending a notification.

• The window has been modified to disable the GOTO button for Staff Re-link notification and whenever there is no navigation destination available.

• The window has been modified to prevent application termination caused by clicking a column header when there were no notifications listed.

• It is no longer possible to select expired job titles when setting up notifications.

Version 5.9(H)/3.6(V) Changes

• The notification icon in the system tray has been updated to properly distinguish Vendor notifications from HiCAMS notifications.

Version 5.8(H)/3.5(V) Changes

• A new notification has been added that will be sent to the M&T Concrete Technicians when Concrete materials (Class A, AA, AAA, B, M, or S) are received.

Version 5.2(H)/2.9(V) Changes

• Added the notification details to the information that prints when a Notification is selected from the list (instead of the Details Tab).

Version 5.1(H)/2.8(V) Changes

• Added the Material Type to the Subject of the message for Notifications sent to the Section Material Specialists from the MRR window.

• Performed performance tuning on notifications window.

Version 4.2(H)/2.3(V) Changes

• Estimate notifications now specify the estimate number in the subject of the message.

Version 4.0(H)/2.1(V) Changes

• The Resident Engineer (Resident Engineer Office) is displayed on the Intent Notifications.

• Click the Go To button from Claim Ready To Review Notifications to navigate to the Approval Tab on the Claim window. Here you can easily enter the Receive Date.

• An additional Warranty Period Notification is sent four weeks before a warranty period is set to expire.

• When clicking the Go To button from a Contract Authorization Alert notification, if the contract is authorized, the Activate Contracts window will appear. However, if the contract is activated, the Review Contract Details window will appear.

• A Notification Checker now appears on the right hand side of the bar at the bottom of your display. It allows you to determine if you have any notifications without having HiCAMS as your active window.
