Target Heart Rate Calculator


You can use this calculator to determine your target heart rate in whatever zone (percentage) you desire for your workouts.

Level of exercise: % of maximum heart rate
Target heart rate at this level: beats per minute
Recommended target range: to beats per minute

Note: These calculations are based on averages. It is recommended that you exercise within 55 to 85 percent of your maximum heart rate for at least 40 minutes to get the best results from aerobic exercise. It is recommended that to maximize fat burning you should stay within the 75% target heart rate zone.
