Transylvania County Comprehensive Transportation Plan
Revision
Transylvania County requested a revision to
the Transylvania County CTP. The
Transylvania County CTP revision adds a new
minor thoroughfare to the CTP’s highway
map. This minor thoroughfare is located on
the north side of Brevard. The Feasibility
Studies Unit of NCDOT is currently working
on a Feasibility Study for this project.
The project is listed in the 2012-2018
STIP as FS-1014A.
The revised CTP was adopted by the City of
Brevard on May 7, 2012 and Transylvania
County on May 14, 2012. The Land-Of-Sky RPO
endorsed the revised CTP on May 16, 2012.
The revised CTP will be presented in the
June 2012 NCDOT Board of Transportation for
their adoption.
