The Burlington-Graham MPO Comprehensive
Transportation Plan (CTP) study is a
long range plan, which identifies major
transportation improvement needs and
develops long term solutions for the
next 25 to 30 years. It is a joint
effort between the Burlington-Graham MPO
and the NCDOT - Transportation Planning
Branch (TPB).
The CTP study
involves both government officials and
the public in an effort to determine the
area’s future transportation needs based
on the best information available
including, but not limited to,
population, economic conditions, traffic
trends and patterns of land development
in and around the town. The study will
also include alternative modes of
transportation. A recommendation for a
solution that provides for the safe,
efficient, cost-effective and
environmentally sensitive use of the
transportation system, while addressing
current and future travel needs, will be
made.
