The Production Support Group serves as a project management and support team for the entire unit. We do the following:

1) Manage unit wide engineering investigations and designs production process from project initiation all the way through products/projects delivery.

2) Provide computer and CADD support for the entire unit to make sure the unit’s project delivery engineering tools, project tracking Status database, productivity tracking database and technical databases are up and running in order to satisfy the business needs of the unit.

3) Accept project requests from internal and external clients, conduct initial project cost and schedule estimates, negotiate the time and cost budgets with the requesting clients if needed, set up and negotiate (if necessary) project internal budgets, assign the projects to unit’s project teams, functional groups or regional offices.

4) Coordinate and track the performance in terms of percent of project accomplished proportional to the budget and time expended.

5) Conduct quality assurance review to ensure all minimum product components required are received and distribute to clients.

6) Analyze production output, costs and financial data to provide rating report on output and efficiency for each project group and prepares a semi-annual and annual report for management and project teams.

7) Manage the Unit’s equipment program, monitor the equipment utilization efficiency, conducts equipment purchasing planning and coordinates with other parties regarding equipment acquisition.

8) Manage the unit wide safety program to ensure all safety issues are properly addressed and all accidents are promptly reported, factually investigated and properly documented.

9) Provide field or program support for special or research projects.

10) Provide administrative support such as unit wide purchasing, fixed asset management, answering telephones, financial reporting and the other administrative assistance as needed by management teams.
