Good Faith Effort
Upon placing a bid on a Raleigh let project or projects that require approval by the Board of Transportation, if that bid does not meet or exceed the DBE/MBE/WBE goals set for that project, a Good Faith Effort report will be required to determine if the bidder made a good faith effort in trying to meet the advertised goal(s). As part of that report, the Department requests that you submit a spreadsheet based on the example given below. Please be advised that as yet there are no formal instructions. Please note that the DBE status given for some contractors in the spreadsheet may not be accurate. Please consider all information on the 'Example' to be fictitious. If you have any questions, please Contact Us.

Also, please note that on the sixth (6th) day following a given letting that all Good Faith Effort reports are due by 12:00pm (noon). This is typically the Monday following the letting. The report should consist of one (1) original and nine (9) copies (or 10 copies total). Please see the project Special Provisions for these and other details.
