The DBPT is holding open enrollment for all consultants with experience in multi-modal transportation planning with emphasis in comprehensive bicycle and pedestrian planning. We will provide a list of these consultants as a resource to those communities that have received Bicycle and Pedestrian Planning Grants and are looking for help in preparing their plans. Private consulting firms that desire to perform work or services for the Department must be prequalified prior to submitting their Letter of Interest. Once prequalified, private consulting firms must renew their status annually and requalify every three (3) years.

If your firm would like to be included on this list, please review the Private Consultant Firm Prequalification and complete the online Application for Prequalification. You will be asked specific information on your firm's expertise and experience in comprehensive bicycle and pedestrian planning. Facility design or construction oriented projects will not be considered expertise or experience in comprehensive planning.

The Planning Grant Initiative has been successful in its first eight years - since 2004, 122 municipalities have been awarded a planning grant out of 301 total applicants. To date, a total of $2,969,468 has been allocated to these 122 municipalities through this grant program.
