Eric Boyette oversees the North Carolina Department of Transportation's information technology functions as well as IT administration and computer systems for enterprise services, the Division of Motor Vehicles and engineering transportation applications.
Boyette brings nearly 20 years of experience with NCDOT in various roles dealing with everything from technical to financial.
He has had several pivotal roles in the department which began as a division computer consultant for Division 4. Prior to serving as chief information officer, Boyette served as the inspector general, acting DMV commissioner, deputy chief information officer and acting information officer.
Most recently, he was the director of Enterprise Services, which supports NCDOT's Enterprise Resource Planning financial system along with the IT administration.
Boyette earned a Bachelor of Science from Barton College.
